Changes to Our Blog

January 29, 2012

With a new year brings new changes. Our blog is no different. For 2012, we’d like to try a little different format for our content – as this blog is ever evolving, please feel free to give us feedback on the changes. We’ll continue to bring you great ideas for things to see and do (and places to eat) in Savannah – many within walking distance of the Inn’s front doors, along with providing recipes to try at home. New content we plan to offer this year includes:

  • This Month in Georgia History – A very brief history lesson about the history of Savannah and the surrounding Georgia lowcountry. Topics will include any and everything that we find interesting.
  • Day-Trips Around Savannah – Savannah is a very convenient “base camp” to explore the surrounding Georgia and South Carolina lowcountry. In this series, we’ll highlight some of the attractions and adventures just beyond the city limits of Savannah (all within less than a 2.5 hour drive).
  • Room Highlights – With 9 guest rooms, there is a perfect room at the Catherine Ward House Inn for everyone’s style and budget. Once a month we’ll highlight one of our guest rooms and offer up additional photos not currently available on our website.
  • Bringing the B&B Home – Taking a cue from our room of the month, once a month we’ll offer up ideas for how to recreate the retreat of a B&B at home.
  • Q&A – A grab bag post designed to answer common questions people have of B&B’s in general, Savannah trivia/things to do, and about the Catherine Ward House Inn.
We hope you are as excited for these upcoming topics as we are to share them with you.
Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous 2012. Let Savannah and the Catherine Ward House Inn romance you this year – online and in person.
