CWH Blog Love

March 25, 2011

In our brief moments of downtime at the Catherine Ward House, we find ourselves drawn to a number of different blogs and websites. Any time I need inspiration for what to cook for dinner (or snack or dessert), I find myself drawn to various food blogs. One of my favorites is Smitten Kitchen.

The author of Smitten Kitchen has such a way of breaking down the most complex (or seemingly complex) foods into things I can easily make, as well as elevating some of the most humble food into the stratosphere. Not to mention, the photos are amazing!

Delicious looking Oat and Maple Syrup Scones. Click the photo for the recipe.

Updates to Smitten Kitchen are fairly regular, and tend to rotate in style and difficulty. Gosh, just writing this post is making me want to go bake some of the recipes I’ve fell in love with from Smitten Kitchen (ie: Jacked-Up Banana Bread comes to mind right off the bat)
