The Sea Trade Room

November 28, 2010

The Sea Trade Room is one of our largest rooms, located on the first floor of the Carriage House.*

The room is named in honor of Captain Ward’s (the original owner of the property) time spent sailing the seas. When he arrived in Savannah, he opened a Stevedore company.

The tiled entry leads you to doors that open on to a large, but warm, apricot colored room with grass cloth wall treatments and floor-to-ceiling silk drapes. The apricot tones are contrasted by a black lacquered Chinese screen used as the headboard with the King size bed.

A king-sized bed and large corner unit jacuzzi make the Sea Trade Room a great romantic escape

Vintage lamps, custom bed treatments, working fireplace and two-person Jacuzzi all contribute to a wonderfully romantic escape.

The Sea Trade Room rents for $199 to $229 per night (plus tax).

* – We’ve been informed by the City of Savannah that what we refer to as a “Carriage House” is actually classified as a “Lane Cottage” – as it never housed carriages and was always residential in purpose. This building is separated from the main house by our courtyard. The courtyard features numerous plants, a set of tables and chairs for casual gatherings (or morning cups of coffee), and a soothing fish pond.
